Travel

"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list."

Since I was about 8 years old, one of my biggest dreams has been to travel, especially to Europe. It's only been in recent years that I've finally gotten to experience any big travels ~ and how exciting they have been!
On this page I've provided links to my blog posts about my travels, photos from my trips, and my travel bucket list. I'm excited to tell you all about my past adventures, and about new ones as they happen!

England ~ May/June 2015
This was my second time visiting England, and it was just as amazingly unforgettable as the first time! I spent 12 days there with a group of students and parents from my high school, and we visited London, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Canterbury, Birmingham, Glastonbury, and the Lake District. Some of those places were new to me, while others I had visited during my first trip to England, so I saw them for a second time. All of it was so exciting ~ I loved every minute of this wonderful trip!

Dominican Republic ~ January 2015
In January 2015, over my Christmas break, I went on my second-ever international trip and my first-ever mission trip. I traveled to San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic, where I spent a week working hard, playing with beautiful children, and even spending a day on the beach (which I'm convinced was a slice of paradise).

Alaska ~ August 2014
In the summer of 2014, I made a two-week trip to the beautiful state of Alaska, where I visited my cousin and nannied her two adorable children. I got to see some cool animals like bears and moose, and I was constantly surrounded by breathtaking, mountainous landscapes. I would love to go back someday and take in more of this state's amazing scenery!

England ~ June 2012
I went on my first international trip at age 16, when I spent 10 days in England through the the high school study abroad program at Hillsdale College. I visited London, Canterbury, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Warwick, Bath, and even made a quick stop in Wales. It was a magical, unforgettable trip that I still go on and on about, even several years later!

Read all about (parts) of my adventures in England in these posts. (Unfortunately, I never finished blogging about the trip. Maybe one of these days I will.)

(Brace yourself, it's a long one...)

There are many countries I want to go to, and I've listed them here, along with specific cities within certain countries. Within all these countries, though, I really just want to go anywhere, to explore and sight-see, and to experience the culture. I especially want to visit historical sites; cathedrals and churches; castles; big, famous cities; small, adorable towns; and places associated with certain saints and apparitions.

Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice, Siena, Assisi)
France (Paris, Lisieux, Lourdes)
Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Asturias)
Portugal (Fatima)
Germany
Austria
Netherlands
Poland
Greece
England
Ireland
Scotland
Iceland
Canada
Hawaii
Alaska
All 50 states
Mexico (Guadalupe)
Brazil
Argentina
Peru (Lima)

The Holy Land
